Southern Shoalhaven Carers Day

Calling all carers – would you like to spend a few relaxing hours in comfort, having your hair done, a facial, manicure, Bowen therapy or a massage, with morning tea and lunch provided?

Then the Carers Day on Wednesday October 19 is the place for you. The aim is to give all carers a respite from their usual routine and a chance to enjoy some pampering, or if you prefer, a chance to relax and chat with other carers and enjoy a morning tea and lunch.

The Carers Day is an initiative of Milton Ulladulla Hospital. Judy Nelmes, Director of Nursing at the hospital is keen to see as many carers as possible take advantage of this special event. Judy said, “ We understand the outstanding job that carers do every day in our community and we would like to acknowledge their dedication and contribution by providing this opportunity for carers to relax and enjoy some personal services that they may not usually have time for in their busy day.”

The Carers Day will be held in the meeting area at the Cancer Services Centre at Milton Ulladulla Hospital on Wednesday, October 19 from 10am to 2pm. Carers are asked to contact Bruce on 4454 9160 to confirm attendance.

The Carers Day is sponsored by the Cancer Outpatients Appeal.
