Long Table Dinner at Cupitt’s Winery An Evening with Gail O'Brien

Guest speaker at the Cancer Outpatients Appeal Long Table Dinner held at Cupitt’s Winery, was Gail O’Brien, Director and Board Member of the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at RPA.

Despite the inclement weather, the restaurant was packed to capacity for this very popular event. It was a unique opportunity to learn about the ground breaking project at RPA originally spearheaded by Professor Chris O’Brien to build a cancer centre providing a comprehensive range of clinical services, as well as research and education to optimise patient outcomes.

COA Acquisitive Art Awards 2012

Journeys and Horizons

About the Awards

The Cancer Outpatients Appeal of Milton Ulladulla Inc. is organising the COA Acquisitive Art Awards 2012 to offer artists and our community in the southern Shoalhaven the opportunity to contribute to the comfort and accommodation of patients from this area who will be attending the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre in Nowra, due to be completed in 2013.

This new cancer centre will work in close cooperation with and complement the services provided by our cancer centre here in Milton. Accommodation units will be available within the complex for use by southern Shoalhaven patients and their carers when they attend for radiation therapy treatment, usually over a period of several weeks. Winning entries in this art competition will hang in these accommodation units.

The theme for the competition is “Journeys and Horizons”. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme in a way that will be positive, uplifting and inspirational. Choice of medium is at the discretion of the artist, our only stipulations are that this competition is restricted to artists aged 18 and over resident in the southern Shoalhaven, as defined in the Conditions of Entry; that all entries are framed under glass.

We thank the Dunn Lewis Centre, its Alley Gallery Committee and our sponsors for their contributions to this worthy project.
