Community Transport Aid (CTA)

As a Very Important Patient, the Cancer Outpatients Appeal invites you to participate in a complimentary transport service for cancer patients and a family member or carer to attend appointments at the Milton Ulladulla Community Cancer Services Centre.

This service is funded by the Cancer Outpatients Appeal which has partnered with Community Transport Aid (CTA), to provide this free transport on your treatment days.

Because parking in the hospital grounds is at a premium, using this service will help other hospital visitors to find a parking space; family members or carers may have respite time to attend to other appointments; and patients can benefit from this door to door, stress free service.

To accept our invitation simply:

  • Call CTA on 44554415 on weekdays between 9:00am and 4:00pm
  • Provide your name, address and phone number
  • Give details of the date and time of your appointment

The CTA Coordinator will ask:

  • If someone will be accompanying you
  • If you will be bringing a wheelchair or walking frame
  • How long you expect your appointment to last

And explain:

  • The time the CTA car will collect you
  • That you will be asked to sign the journey log to confirm your trip
  • You will be set down and picked up at a designated parking space close to the entrance of the Cancer Services Centre.

CTA clients are asked to give as much notice as possible – a week if you can – to book the service.  If you have to cancel for any reason, please try to let CTA know as soon as possible.

CTA covers the area from North Durras in the southern Shoalhaven to Bendalong/Manyana in the north.
